The 24-7 Wynnewood Heights Crime Watch is an old-fashioned idea of being good neighbors  who look out for each other’s property and recognizing illegal visual criminal activities. Working together to  make our  community  a safer  and  better place to live without fear and intimidation while being the eyes and ears of the Local Governments.

    Welcome

Our neighborhood is filled with friendly multi racial people ranging from young adult to senior citizens who have lived here from 15 to 40 years.  We pride ourselves on keeping our area safe and clean.

The homes in our area date back to the 50’s suburban style homes still in upstanding shape, with large front and back yards and wide porches.  The homes have spacious living rooms, 3 to 4 bedrooms, 1 to 2 bathrooms, stylish kitchens, washrooms and garages converted to dens.  There are also two storied homes in our neighborhood that make our area stand out even more.  We are only 10 minutes away from downtown and there are Bus stops on every corner.  We have two major shopping centers in our area, Wynnewood and Kiest Polk shopping centers.

Over the years  we have seen our neighborhood deteriorate with illegal narcotic sales, prostitution and neighborhood disorders, such as frequent loud music disturbances, junk motor vehicles parked on the street and in residents yards, trash and debris littering yards, alleys, potholes, and streets.  These issues have overwhelmed many area residents causing fear that lead some people to relocate.

The last three years we have seen real success in the increase in the quality of life that many of the area residents have begin to feel about our neighborhood.  The interaction between neighbors who care enough to call the Police and Patrol the area for any suspicious activity has created a sense of community and brought people together and forced problem residents and criminals out.

With hard work, dedication, commitment and lots of personal time we have developed a most successful Organization.  So successful that we were presented the Doris Berry Award in recognition of outstanding performance as The Crime Watch for the year 2006 by the Dallas Police Department.

We are  dedicated to the upkeep and beautification of our area and committed to bring back the glory that we once had.
We invite you and our neighbors to join with us to make this community the place to live without fear and intimidation.
